3 Words to Describe My Teaching Style:
Fun, challenging, energizing.
My music style:
A little bit of everything to get the body grooving, mainly a mix of house beats, dance, and rock
I fly with Jaybird Because:
Jaybird is a place that makes me feel like no other. It is a space that allows me to be my truest self, to express my movement style in an environment that truly brings the experience to the next level. The heat, darkness, and sound system allow me to connect to the moment, movement, and body in a way that I had never felt prior to my first Jaybird class. To be able to teach and guide in this space is something I am eternally grateful for.
My journey to jaybird:
I started playing hockey when I was two years old and always found myself very into the off-ice training and conditioning aspect of the sport. I knew I always wanted to work with my body and after I tried my first yoga class (which I very much struggled through). I slowly began to implement the practice into my daily life, and eventually took the leap and completed my teaching certification. After exploring different studios around the city I was drawn to Jaybird and what it had to offer. I love being able to teach and share my passion for movement.
What MiNdfulness Means to Me:
Mindfulness to me is being introspective. Learning and observing instead of reacting, understanding what your body and mind need and acting accordingly. Taking time for yourself and not taking life too seriously.
