The Build

The Build is a yoga inspired class minus the typical sequencing, chanting, or balancing inversions – or even the names of the poses. The flow of the class begins and ends in rest and emphasizes the feel of alignment and movement rather than the visual appearances or shapes. Slow stretches start to open the body and we steadily build toward a sweaty pace, hitting our mark with a peak song (roughly 2 mins) where you have the chance to move on your own. While we are always being told what to do and how to do it, this is a chance to tune in and listen to what you need in this moment. As we do at Jaybird, this non-traditional workout is done by candlelight in a heated infrared room and fueled by good, loud music.

The Burn Pilates inspired class

The Burn

Feel the burn and embrace the shake with our pilates inspired class, designed to connect you to your body through heightened awareness and specific activations. Working through movements linked to the breath, the goal is to build strength and mobility while using props like bands, balls, and more. As we do at Jaybird, this non-traditional workout is done by candlelight in a heated infrared room and fueled by good, loud music.

Pilates and barre inspired non-traditional workout classes

The Booty

Get out of your head and into you booty. Pulling inspiration from pilates and barre workouts, this class is first and foremost a gluteus maximus good time. We focus on strengthening a very important asset, while shedding inhibitions and distractions of outside expectations. Beginning and ending in rest, we dig into some serious strengthening for 35 minutes, then spend 15 minutes stretching it out and ball rolling – for that hurts-so-good kind of release. As we do at Jaybird, this non-traditional workout is done by candlelight in a heated infrared room and fueled by good, loud music.

The Balance stretching and fascial release recovery classes

The Balance

Chill and relaxing, this class is a time of self care and balance. Ease into a mellow, yin inspired experience that focuses on stretching, fascial release, spinal mobility, self massage, and ball rolling. It’s the perfect opportunity to rest and reconnect with yourself, honouring what your body needs to rest and recover from busy days and hard workouts. Like many of our classes at Jaybird, this non-traditional workout is done by candlelight in a warmed (not hot) infrared room.
