3 Words to Describe My Teaching Style:

Soft, restorative, high vibrational

My music style:

I am an eclectic sound explorer with a sensibility for the softer rhythms of our planet. I lean towards smooth R&B and jazz, soothing ambient and electronica, atmospheric otherworldly sounds, and dreamy soundscapes that invite introspection.

I fly with Jaybird Because:

I fly with Jaybird because of the supportive team and community. It is a space where folks can embrace movement in a way that feels true and liberating, and an authentic expression of self. I deeply appreciate the studio's commitment to inclusivity, creating a space where all bodies are welcome and celebrated – and this is reflected with both clients and the Jaybird team.

My journey to jaybird:

I’m a certified yoga instructor, somatic movement and sound therapy practitioner based in Toronto. I’ve been a student of Vinyasa and Ashtanga style yoga for nearly 20 years.

I completed my (RYS) 200-level yoga teacher training in Dharamsala, India, studying multi-style Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Hatha, Sivananda, and Kundalini yoga.

Over the past decade, I've developed an interdisciplinary practice that incorporates yin-style yoga, bodywork and breathwork with sound healing and energy work.

My core practice is restorative sound baths and mindful deep listening. I use tools made with intention such as tuning forks, crystal singing bowls, gongs, and chimes, which are rich in overtones, carry a deep resonance, and are attuned to the frequencies known to elicit optimal responses from the mind and body.

My vision is to find more ways to support others and bring the restorative power of sound frequency and vibration to more folks.

What MiNdfulness Means to Me:

Mindfulness is a state of being fully present and engaged in the moment, peeling away the constructs and seeing things as they are. Sound has been transformative for me in terms of helping me observe and be curious and open, making mindfulness a much deeper practice for me, of tuning into the vibrations that surround and flow through us. It’s about listening deeply, not just with my ears but with my whole being, and allowing myself to feel subtle shifts in energy without judgment, realigning with a natural rhythm.
